Mr. Edwin Lee Giles, 66, of Covington, passed away April 10. Mr. Giles attended First Presbyterian Church, in Covington. He was a friendly, caring man who never met anyone he didn't call a friend.
Mr. Earle Dean Wyant of Oxford, passed away April 11, at Rockdale Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 15, 1931 in Elmhurst, Ill., to Kenneth and Bernice Hanan Wyant.
Mr. J.B. Monk Sr., 90, of Covington, passed away April 12. Mr. Monk enjoyed fishing, cutting grass and going to gospel singings.
Mr. Linton Gotell passed away April 6, 2013. He was born January 21, 1935 in Jasper County, Georgia to the late Ms. Tessie Williams and Mr. Eddie L. Gotell. He was the first born of five siblings; one preceded him in death, Mr. Richard Williams, Jr., one son-in-law, Mr. Charles E. Bridges, Sr.
Mr. Ricky Loyd, age 60, of Covington passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 19, 1952 in Porterdale, Georgia. Ricky was a man who enjoyed life, he enjoyed telling a good joke, loved playing golf, fishing, gambling, in fact he had a regular card game daily at 5pm and enjoyed visiting the Covington Pool Room when he could. He was preceded in death by his wife Lynn Hall Loyd, his father Ed Loyd and his sister Linda Loyd Durden.
Ms. Ardelia Haulk Bryant passed away April 4, at Rockdale Hospital in Conyers.
Shirley S. Allen Knight, 76, of Social Circle, died on April 6. She was born in Alabama on June 11, 1936, to Marie and Walker Snow. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her son Mitchell Allen.
Mr. Carl Wayne Lewallen, 63, of Covington, passed away April 6. He was a Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing pool and watching WWE wrestling.
Mr. Joseph Pervines McCord III, 74, of Covington, passed away April 6. He loved his family and grandchildren, dearly, and enjoyed going on family vacations. He also loved his Harley and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Pervines McCord II and Pansye Wilson McCord; stepdaughter Cindy Lynn Bunn; stepson Daniel George Wishner; sister Barbara Gibbs.
Mr. David Henry Coberth, 68, of Covington, died April 4, at Newton Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 14, 1944 in Fall River, Mass., to George Horace and Elizabeth Himelspagh Coberth, both of whom preceded him in death.
Ms. Ann Elizabeth Irick Spencer of Snellville, died peacefully in her sleep April 5, at The Mews of Social Circle retirement home. She was born on Dec. 23, 1924 on Toler Creek, Ky., to Albert Sidney and Loutisha Keathley Irick.
Mrs. Rebecca A. Reagin, 66, of Monticello, passed away April 4. She enjoyed crafts, photography, painting and going to yard sales.
Mr. Joe Hoyt Brewer, age 64, of Mansfield passed away March 22, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to James Hoyt and Mae Pitts Brewer on September 3, 1948. Mr. Brewer enjoyed working with his hands and could build anything. He loved spending time with his family and working in his garden.
Mr. Joseph Hall Jefferson, 77, of Covington died yesterday, March 16. He was born June 21, 1935 and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold William and Annis Lee (Twyman) Jefferson; and his beloved brother Robert Moseley Jefferson.

Aileen Dye, 93, died peacefully March 9, at the home of her son, James Robert Bertram in Covington. She was preceded in death by her husbands John F. Bertram Jr. and James G. (Jack) Dye. Mrs. Dye was born in Corbin, Ky., the daughter of Samantha Pearl Baker Lawson and James Marion Lawson, both natives of Corbin. Mary Evelyn Wilson Meador, 87, our sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Feb. 28, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born in 1925, in Covington, the daughter of Mary and Charlie Wilson, the youngest of three girls. She was raised in Covington and attended Covington High and the Atlanta Business School. She married her sweetheart James Thompson Meador in 1948.
Daryl Herbert Norman, 59, of Covington, passed away March 10. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Norman was a member of High Point Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball.
