Mary A. Leasure, formerly of 933 Rosedale Avenue, Kingston, Tennessee, age 84, passed away suddenly on September 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Lucky" Leasure, in 1997. She moved to Atlanta in 2003 to join her children, daughter Barbara Leasure and son-in-law Dr. Michael Henry; son Steven Leasure, and daughter-in-law Holly and their son, Adam; and son Michael Leasure and daughter-in-law Dr. Renee Butler and their children, Matthew and Christopher Leasure. She lived independently in Conyers, Georgia, until May 2013 when she joined Steve, Holly and Adam in Douglasville.

Sara Helen Jordan of Covington passed away September 8, 2014, at the age of 84. Mrs. Jordan was a member of East Newton Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir, her Sunday School class and the Women's Missionary Union.
Betty Christian Thomas, 84, of Covington, passed away September 8, 2014. Mrs. Thomas was a faithful member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was very active in various church functions, and was a member of the church choir for several years. She was a longtime, dedicated employee of Steele-Jones Insurance Agency in Covington. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed spending time in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ralph Thomas; parents Frank Buford and Ellen Ruth (Cowan) Christian; sisters Mary Beth Steele, Jean O'Neal; and her brother, Frank E. Christian.
Louise H. Smith, 83, formerly Louise Armstrong, of Marietta, died August 28, 2014. Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Castellaw Funeral Home's Jonquil Chapel in Smyrna, Ga. She is survived by her husband, Dean Smith; children Nancy Stephens, Brenda Clifton and Thomas Armstrong; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and one grandson.
Rebecca "Ann" Reid, 69, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at her home. She was born May 4, 1945, in Porterdale to the late Clarence and Allie Durden. Mrs. Reid was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all. But most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Reid is preceded in death by siblings Pauline Dial, Frances Sockwell and William "Bill" Durden.

George (Stump) Cown, age 70 of Loganville passed away Jan. 30, 2009. Mr. Cown was a longtime member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and was a member of Grayson United Methodist Church. Mr. Cown graduated from Grayson High in 1956, served in the U.S. Navy for two years and retired from AT&T and C.R. Bard Medical in Covington. After retirement, he became known in the Grayson Community as "Santa" to many children.
Mr. James Perry Atkinson, 65, of Madison, died Jan. 12 at his home. The son of the late Herman and Louise Jones Atkinson, he was born in Morgan County in 1943. Mr. Atkinson served in the United States Navy and later worked in sales of construction supplies. Mr. Atkinson was currently employed by Hallman Wood Products in Eatonton.
