Dr. Kenneth L. Jacques of Oxford, passed away June 29, 2015, at the age of 73. He devoted his life to the ministry of his Lord. Dr. Jacques served as the pastor of Harmony Baptist Church, in Covington, for 27 years, but most recently was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He led church services once a week, for the residents of Riverside Health Care, Merryvale Assisted Living and The Benton House. Elzie (Ed) Dees, of Oxford, passed away June 25, 2015, at the age of 85. Ed was born in Douglas. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 and was a veteran of the Korean War.
