Arthur E. Norred, Jr., of Oxford, passed away March 27, 2014, at the age of 67. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam, but was stationed in Germany. Mr. Norred retired from AT&T after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Lovejoy United Methodist Church. He was a Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed traveling and playing golf with his many friends. He was preceded in death his parents, Arthur E. Norred, Sr. and Lucile Norred.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 29, 1957, to the late Charles Franklin and Gertrude Jean Pier Coker. She grew up in the south and was a graduate of Chamblee High School. Helen attended Duke University for two years, transferring during WWII to Agnes Scott College, where she graduated in 1945. She served as a Navy Cadet Nurse in WWII for 16 months.
