He was a WWII veteran of the US Army serving three years and nine months in the Pacific Theater as a Sergeant. Lawrence Anthony LaJaunie, III of Covington, passed away July 12, 2011, at Rockdale Medical Center. He was 46 years old at the time of his death. Mr. LaJaunie enjoyed fishing, talking, and was a LSU and Saints fan. He owned Lawrence's Barber Shop for 12 years. Mr. LaJaunie was an active member of Harvest Baptist Church, where he served on the fellowship team, security team, and was a volunteer for the Hope for Harvest Food Ministry.
