Mr. Eric Ellington, age 57, of Monticello formerly of Covington passed away March 24, 2015. He was born June 1, 1957 in Covington, Georgia to Charles Aaron and Nellie Wilkerson Ellington who have preceded him in death. Mr. Ellington retired from Golden State Foods in Conyers. He loved to travel, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.
Betty Lou Wolf Morris, 69, of Covington, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Newton Medical Center. Mrs. Morris was born to the late Joseph and Lulumae Craig Wolf in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Morris worked at the Georgia Department of Agriculture for 12 years. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Ricky Gray of Covington, passed away March 19, 2015, at the age of 52. Ricky and his wife, Donna, shared a very special love for each other. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and son, he was respected by all who knew him. Ricky was a very patient, kind and genuine person. He loved animals and had a special way with them. Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard M. Gray, Sr.
Sara N. Loyd of Covington, passed away March 18, 2015, at the age of 80. Mrs. Loyd was a member of Stewart Baptist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, they have toured all 50 states together. Mrs. Loyd's favorite state to visit was South Dakota, but she also enjoyed going to Las Vegas, Alabama and Mississippi for entertainment. She had a special bond with her grandson, Wil, teaching him to drive, going to lunch and shopping. Mrs. Faye A. Morris, age 81, of Maysville, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Southern Pines. Mrs. Morris was born in Newton County. She was an active member of Commerce First United Methodist Church and was retired from Avon.
Barbara Ann Wilcox of Covington, passed away March 13, 2015, at the age of 66. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the beach, and listening to the ebb and flow of the tide. Her favorite pastime was reading murder mysteries. He was born March 31, 1940 in Lynch Station, Virginia to Charles Harrison and Jenny Hargis Burton who have preceded him in death. Delores "Dee" Gudgen of Covington, passed away March 13, 2015, at the age of 67. She enjoyed hunting for antiques, flower and vegetable gardening, canning vegetables and traveling to the beach and fishing with her husband. Dee was very artistic and creative, and she will be remembered for her imaginative care packages. She treasured pictures of her family as they were her priority. Bobbye Maddox Cawthon, 84, of Jackson, died April 29 at the Abby Hospice in Social Circle. She had been residing at Autumn Village Assisted Living Center in Jackson. She was born in Butts County, in 1927 one of 11 children of Glenn C. and Leila Mason Maddox. She was wife of the late John Curry Cawthon. Mrs. Cawthon was a secretary for Eastern Air Lines for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Covington.

Mr. Knarr retired from Bridgestone, in Covington, as a Computer Programmer. He enjoyed woodwork, photography, model trains, barbecues, sailing, traveling, and reading.
