Mrs. Franklin, a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, was a member of the Faithful Sunday School Class, and always supported her son in the ministry. Mr. James F. "Ted" Neely Sr., 85, a lifelong resident of Covington, died Nov. 11. The son of the late Fred G. and Bamie Dobbs Neely, he was born in 1923 in Dooley County. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II, serving under General Patton. Mr. James A. "Jimmy" Pennington, 69, of Covington, died Nov. 11. The son of the late James Anderson Pennington and Mary Guest Pennington, he was born in 1939 in Fulton County.
