Charlotte Virginia Mann Demarest, 81, of Covington went to be with the Lord May 7 after losing her battle with cancer. She was born in 1928, the daughter of Hunter Merrill and Elizabeth Moore Mann. Gloria Leatherwood Carson received her angel wings on May 2. She passed away at Westbury Nursing home under Brightmoor Hospice Care in Conyers. Mr. Guy Whitley, 84, of Conyers, died May 1. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Margaret Whitley, Conyers; daughter Sara Smith, Newborn; sons Dennis Whitley, Apollo Beach, Fla., Lee Cronan, Conyers; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Whitley was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church, retired from Southeastern Stages and was bailiff at Rockdale Magistrate Court for 27 years.
