Vivian O'Kelley Bouchillon

Vivian O'Kelley Bouchillon of Covington, passed away January 13, 2011, at the age of 83. Mrs. Bouchillon was born in Porterdale, to the late John William and Odie Bell (Bowen) O'Kelley, and has remained a life-long resident of Newton County. She was well-known, and liked by all who knew her. She was employed by Hutch Clothing, until the store closed, and then C.R. Bard before retiring. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Bouchillon was a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bouchillon.

Rupert "Bill" Thomas

Rupert "Bill" Thomas of Buckhead passed away on January 11, 2011, at the age of 80. Mr. Thomas was born in Covington to the late John Homer and Mamie Lou (Bohannon) Thomas on June 23, 1930. Mr. Thomas was employed with the Federal Drug Enforcement agency for 31 years. He was a member of Philogia Masonic Lodge # 178 in Conyers, and the Georgia Ramblers Motor Home Club. Mr. Thomas enjoyed all kinds of tools, tinkering with lawn mowers and mowing the lawn. He is predeceased by his sister, Annie Lee Sowell Cook and three brothers, Henri, Horace and Bernard Thomas.

Mrs. Almand was one of 14 children born in Griffin, Ga. to the late Willie Lee and Lettie Florine Murphy Deaton. She is preceded in death by her husband David Almand and her daughter Brenda Garner. Tucker Bradley Isbill

Tucker Bradley Isbill, of Bremen, came into this world at 11:50 a.m. on Sep. 30, 2010. Tucker became the littlest angel and received his wings a mere 89 days later, at 3:11 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2010 at Children's Hospital of Atlanta. Gladys Lipscomb

Gladys D. Lipscomb of Porterdale, passed away December 28, 2010, at the age of 88. Mrs. Lipscomb moved to Porterdale in 1963, and worked for Bibb Manufacturing Co., for 19 years. She enjoyed watching her soap opera, "Days of Our Lives"; the game shows, "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader" and "The Price is Right", and various court TV shows. Most important to her was the love and pride of her family. Mrs. Lipscomb was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lipscomb; daughter, Renea Bell; and her parents, Raymond Earnest and Emma May (Wilson) Dunagan.
