He served our country in the US Marines and was active in the Toys for Tots program in Massachusetts and California. He was the owner of Home Solutions and loved fishing, grilling and always had a smile on his face. James Roger Gladden

James Roger Gladden, born February 2nd, 1940, peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 17th, 2011. Roger was born in Shelby, North Carolina. He graduated from Wake Forest University and John Marshall Law School. He served as a second lieutenant in the United States Navy. In 1989, Roger and Lorrie moved from Atlanta to Oxford, where he served nine years as a councilman for the city of Oxford. He was an active member of the Oxford Lion's Club, the Oxford Historical Society, the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Covington, and the American Bar Association.
