Our beloved Dorothy Ellen Mcknight Blackshear was born July 29, 1935 in Porterdale, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Carlton (Bessie Kate Brewer) McKnight, Sr. She was one of nine children and was preceded in death by four brothers (Arbie, Carlton, Jr., Charlie and Arthur Mcknight) and two sisters (Gennie Munford and Pearlie Adams).
At 90 years of age, and after a full life, Anna Mary Hutchison Senn died on December 21, 2014. Born in Baltimore on December 17, 1924 she was the daughter of Edward N. and Alice "Peggy" (nee Blottenberger) Hutchison.
Steve Temples of Covington, passed away January 7, 2015, at the age of 67. Steve worked in the construction industry his entire life and was very passionate about his work. He and his wife, Linda, enjoyed traveling, and made lots of memorable snow skiing trips. Additionally, he enjoyed showing Western Pleasure horses and riding his Harley. Steve cherished his family dearly and especially adored all three of his girls.

Terry Armistead, of Covington, passed away January 7, 2015, at the age of 62. A hard worker, Terry worked at Mobil Chemical for 20 years and was a tow truck driver with B & H Wrecker Service. Loving husband, Daddy, and Poppie, he adored spending time with his family. Terry never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Mitchell Durden; father, Floyd Armistead; birth mother, Alice Mitchell Bales; and grandson, Zacharia Markus Dial.
Ann Brewer, of Covington, passed away January 2, 2015, at the age of 85. She was born August 20, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She spent her entire life serving others, and was especially known for her work on behalf of those suffering from cystic fibrosis.

Jeffery Keith Broxton, Sr., of Covington, passed away January 4, 2015, at the age of 56. Jeff was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Eatonton, until his sickness prohibited from attending. He supported all church activities, but missions were closest to his heart. Once diagnosed with ALS, Jeff's main focus was leading as many people to Christ, as possible. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, who was a dedicated family man and always cared more about his family and friends than himself. Della Astin Kitchens, 93, of Porterdale, passed away peacefully January 2, 2015. Della was an active member of Porterdale Baptist Church prior to her declining health. She retired from Bibb Manufacturing after 35 years of service and was member and past president of Porterdale Woman's Club. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was born April 19, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late John Richard and Clara (Azlee) Brown. She moved to Covington from Stockbridge in 1996 and was retired from Woolworth Department store where she worked as a cashier for 17 years. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Gospel Mission in Almon. She enjoyed hard work and helping people. Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years Gordon James Bishop and a daughter Juanita Faircloth.
