Agnes Stephens Campbell died on September 12, 2014, age 92, Marshfield, Wisconsin; formerly of Snellville. Agnes was born in Oxford, Georgia, 1922 to Pauline and Harold Stephens, and was the wife of (late) Thomas Lyle Campbell, mother of Mary Campbell Brown and Tom Campbell. She had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Penelope (Penny) Cagle Rutledge

Penelope (Penny) Cagle Rutledge, age 63, of Porterdale, passed away September 13, 2014, following an extensive illness. She attended Porterdale Baptist Church, and enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and listening to music. She especially enjoyed listening to her grandson, Dylan, play the piano, and also spending time with her other grandson, Eli. Ms. Rutledge devoted her life to caring for her parents, daughter and grandsons. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Bill and Maybell Cagle; and her sister, Peggy Batchelor.

Mrs. Elida Tanner, age 80, of Oxford, Georgia passed away September 15, 2014. She was born August 23, 1934 in Miami, Florida to the late Vernon Franklin and Mary Lee Armstrong. Mrs. Tanner was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and also worked for Emory University and the Newton County Library. John Christopher Dillard, 57, of Monticello, died Aug. 31 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dillard was born in Stone Mountain. His parents were the late John Samuel Dillard and Melva Driver Dillard. He lived in Gwinnett County for a number of years before moving to the Jackson Lake area three years ago. He was a bus driver for Newton County Transportation.
