Social Circle readies annual cleanup

Social Circle is getting ready for fall with a city-wide clean-up Sept. 24. Around 100 participants are expected to participate in the event which begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. (or when a group's adopted street is clean). Friendship Festival headquarters established

For the next 30 days the headquarters for Social Circle's Friendship Festival Committee will be located at 141 S. Cherokee Road. The committee headquarters location has been unknown for several weeks after a June fire at the city's welcome center shut the center down until repairs can be made.
