MONROE, Ga. (AP) - The leaders of a multimillion dollar food charity under FBI investigation for possible financial misdeeds have reached an agreement to keep them from being barred from their Monroe headquarters. Attorneys in a lawsuit involving Angel Food Ministries reached an agreement Friday after a Walton County court hearing.
FBI raid on Angel Food raises questions
ATLANTA (AP) - For more than a decade, Angel Food Ministries seemed like a godsend for families who purchased its low-cost food boxes and the churches that shared millions in revenue for distributing the goods. It became an economic juggernaut in the faith community, employing hundreds, feeding thousands a month and pouring $19 million into its network of more than 5,000 host churches in 35 states.

Living History
The Youth Exposure Club of Social Circle held a performance, "Remembering Our Past and Shaping Our Future," capping off Black History Month at the Social Circle Theater on Feb. 27. Students recited speeches and performed as iconic figures in black history, from inventor and educator Dr. George Washington Carver to Mae Jemison, the first black female astronaut. Outside, exhibitors displayed educational materials.
Tractor trailer, garbage truck crash on Ga. Hwy 11
A tractor trailer and a garbage truck crashed into each other on a rainy afternoon Friday on Ga. Highway 11 near the Newton County/Social Circle border, sending both drivers to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Lions Magical Radio Hour
Social Circle Lion's Club will hold its annual musical gala at the Social Circle Theater Saturday, Feb. 28, 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations. Four arrested in two Social Circle raids
Two early morning raids conducted by Social Circle, Loganville and Monroe law enforcement agents produced four arrests, drugs, suspected drug money and a stolen firearm in Social Circle on Saturday.
Connecting across the Atlantic
 Social Circle Middle and High School students didn't have to travel far to view a special exhibit from Kennesaw State University. SCMHS was one of the few privileged to host the "Bunce Island: Linking the History of Europe, Africa, and the United States" traveling display, as part of Black History Month educational activities.
