After registering, early voting for the primary will take place from July 9 through July 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the board of elections, located at the Newton County Administration Building, 1113 Usher St., Covington.
If you want to vote in the July 31 primary in Newton County, you have to be registered to vote. If you've never registered, have moved from a different county or haven't voted for more than five years, chances are you need to register to vote, which can be done at the local board of elections, 1113 Usher St. in Covington. Residents do not have to register by political party and can vote in whichever party's primary they want.
