Tree-planting held at FiberVisions

FiberVisions announced today that on March 14, its parent company from Thailand, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, held a tree-planting ceremony at the Covington manufacturing site as part of a world-wide conference held in Atlanta. On the day of the event, 80 people participated, including vice chairman and group CEO of Indorama Ventures Aloke Lohia, chairman of the board of FiberVisions Stephen Wood, employees and representatives of the local government. Together, they planted three trees.

Yell it from the street corner

PJ Alexander preaches to local traffic quoting Bible scriptures. Alexander said he picks a place and preaches on the street corner every weekend. "People stop and thank me for spreading the word, so it makes me feel as if I'm making a difference," he said. In the cold March weather, there were horns honking and people waving as Alexander stood on the corner preaching about Jesus and holding the Bible.

The Mystic Grill building on the Covington square is set to become a real restaurant as its new owners hope to play off the popularity the building has gained through the hit TV show "The Vampire Diaries" as the outside façade of the Mystic Grill restaurant.
