CPD purchases 2 Segways
 Officers from the Covington Police Department can now be seen zipping around the city, thanks to the purchase of two Segway i2 Personal Transporters. The new units, which were delivered to the department last week, made their debut at the 2008 Covington Christmas Parade.
Covington adopts new management structure
 In light of the poor economy, the city of Covington has decided not to hire an assistant city manager but instead to restructure its management hierarchy by putting in place three division directors who will take on some of the duties of City Manager Steve Horton.
