A look around the community THROUGH THE CAMERA
2014 was a year of excitement and change-both good and bad-in Newton County, where storms raged, underdogs triumphed, and at least one sword was drawn. Here are the top stories from the past 12 months, including a few that will continue to have repercussions into the New Year.
Newton County Farm Bureau was recognized for its outstanding member programs during the 2014 Georgia Farm Bureau annual meeting, held Dec. 7-9 on Jekyll Island. NCFB received the Georgia Farm Bureau McKemie Award in the organization's 2,180-member plus category during the 77th Annual GFB Convention, beating out nine other counties to win the award in its membership division.
