Theme school accepting applications for 8th grade
The Newton County Theme School is going to be accepting applications for students entering the eighth grade next year. Applicants will be accepted during the week of April 8-12. Return completed applications and required documentation to the Newton County Theme School front office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. during the week of April 8-12
School board meeting next Tuesday

My first book: Haniyah Harris, a South Salem Elementary second-grader, has published her first book, a fictional tale of a little girl's journey starting at a new school. The 8-year-old was inspired to write the book after she moved from West Newton to South Salem Elementary School this year.
