The Newton County Board of Education is taking steps to prepare for massive cuts expected for the 2011-2012 school year budget by setting a timeline for discussions leading up to the unveiling of the initial proposed budget in April.

Parents of elementary school students have been wondering how proposed rezoning of Newton County elementary schools will affect their students. School system officials have released the boundary descriptions to let them know just that. Here are the proposed boundaries:
