NCSS students take home awards from state science fair

Newton County students fared well at the recent Georgia Science and Engineer Fair as 11 middle and high school students brought home awards. Ten of the student won either third or fourth place honors while one student won a special award for his project.

EHS FBLA Team headed to nationals

Members of Eastside High School's FBLA team won big at the recent FBLA State Leadership Conference in Atlanta, and are now headed to the national competition in Anaheim, CA. this summer. Team members Cason Cantrell, Alana Freeman and Conner Haler all won first place in their competitions and Dustin Gentis took home second place in his event. All first and second place winners are eligible for the national competition.

Oxford College to host lecture on interfaith cooperation
