Local Walmart awards scholarship

Walmart Store, located on Industrial Boulevard in Covington, recently awarded an academic scholarship to Money Center associate Iyanna Alexander. A Walmart Associate Scholarship in the amount of $1500 was presented by store manager Jerome Adkins and assistant store manager Dan Brown during a store meeting of associates. Special guests included Iyanna's mother Sharon Alexander of Covington and Lillian Bittaye, her mentor with the Sojourner Truth Program.
