ATLANTA - Only Georgia's top-performing high school students would continue to receive free public college tuition under sweeping changes Gov. Nathan Deal and Republicans proposed Tuesday for the lottery-funded HOPE scholarship.
ATLANTA - Advocates for Georgia's pre-kindergarten program plan a rally at the state Capitol.
The rally is scheduled for Tuesday at noon. Advocates will call upon Gov. Nathan Deal and legislators to commit to supporting the program for the 150,000 4-year-olds in the state who are eligible to participate.
