The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a flood warning for the Alcovy River near Covington. At 2:15 p.m. Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet and rising slowly. Flood stage for the Alcovy River is 12.0 feet.

Veteran's Day ceremony on the square

Despite the weather, many people gathered on the square Wednesday morning to honor our veterans.
