Gas prices fall 4.8 cents in last week

Average retail gasoline prices in Atlanta have fallen 4.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.42/gal yesterday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.65/gal, according to gasoline price website AtlantaGasPrices.com.

Porterdale Police start landlord association

In an effort to open the lines of communication between landlords and the city with the goal of improving the rental properties within the city, the Porterdale Police Department has established the Porterdale Landlord's Association.

The main goals of the association will be to improve the quality of the rental properties and therefore, the quality of life for tenants. There will be classes offered for landlords to learn the city's codes, as well as how to deal with those and other related topics.
