On Monday night a man told Covington police his wife hit him several times in their home. According to the report, police responded to the call about an assault happening at a residence on Hicks Avenue.

Covington police spoke to a woman at the Newton Medical Center on Tuesday night that said she was injured when another woman attacked her behind a hotel. The woman said on Sunday night while standing in the back parking lot of Covington Lodge located on City Pond Road, a woman named Teontea walked up to her and started yelling and pushing her. She said as Teontea stepped backwards, her foot slipped off the sidewalk. She said Teontea then left. According to the police report, the woman had several bruises on both of her arms.
