Ramseys donate to Arts Association

Sam and Becky Ramsey and Ramsey Furniture Co. made a $2,500 donation to the Arts Association at the "Splittin' the Raft" performance on Oct. 7. The play, performed by Kennesaw State University, under the direction of Harrison Long, integrated the speeches of Frederick Douglass with Mark Twain's "Huck Finn." In addition to the public performance, the play was presented to high school American literature and drama students in the morning with a workshop for drama students that afternoon. Other sponsors to the event included Michelin Tread Technologies and Springfield Baptist Church.
