Artful Harvest celebrated

Southern Heartland Arts' annual "Artful Harvest" event took place Thursday evening with judges awarding first, second and third place awards to a variety of artists and styles of art. Afterwards refreshments were served and people had a chance to mingle and check out the art. Two school buses involved in morning wreck

Two Newton County School System school buses were involved in a collision at the intersection of Brown Bridge Road and Magnet Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15.
