Testimony continued Wednesday from the co-defendant that defense attorneys argue was the actual ringleader in the 2009 murder of Conyers landscaper Timothy Clements and not their client Pablo Maldonado.
A man and woman were banished from the Covington Housing Authority after reportedly getting into a fight. Covington police responded to a call at Nixon Circle (inside the Housing Authority) in reference to a family fight around 11 p.m. on Friday.
Re-enactments of the murder of 53-year-old Tim Clements by co-defendants Brittney Beasley and Christian Caldwell had family members of the slain landscaper in tears this week, as the death penalty trial against Pablo Maldonado, the alleged ringleader of the murder, continues.
Covington police are looking for a man they said robbed the South of the Square Storage located on Ga. Highway 36 on Tuesday.
Chief Ken Malcom said the robbery happened around noon, when a black male wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and black tennis shoes with red laces walked in and demanded money from a female clerk in the store.
One of the co-defendants in the murder of Tim Clements took the stand on the fourth day of the death penalty trail against the alleged ringleader, Pablo Maldonado and, along with Chief Assistant District Attorney Anne Kurtz, reenacted the 2009 murder of the popular landscaper.
