Bag 'em up: Covington Rotarians Wayne Pugh, President Bob Stafford, kneeling, and Terry Ozburn, along with volunteer members of the Eastside Football team gathered in the hot sun Tuesday and distributed 840 bags of Vidalia Onions to fellow Rotarians. The Rotarians have been selling onions in the community for over 50 years in order to raise funds to conduct their annual Christmas stocking delivery. This year the price is $18 for a 25 pound bag of fresh picked onions. Contact any Rotarian to order your onions.
A man who was reportedly viewing explicit images on his laptop computer Saturday at a Covington doughnut shop was arrested on a charge of distributing obscene material and had his computer confiscated by police.
ATLANTA - An Atlanta preacher whose church caught fire in January is awaiting a court appearance after being charged with shooting a 13-year-old who police say threw a rock that broke the rear window of the preacher's car while he was driving.
