Two of four charged in June Clements murder denied bond

Two of the four people charged in the killing of Conyers landscaper Timothy Clements were denied bond. Pablo Fernando Maldonado and Katria Luche McClain went before Superior Court Judge Horace J. Johnson Jr. earlier this week to request bond. Both have been incarcerated since their arrest in June.

A 110-foot, century-old pine tree dominates the horizon on a patch of Fred Greer's Mansfield farm. This tree should have been cut down and sold as timber long ago, but Greer smiles and points up to a fox squirrel nest and says simply, "It's not hurting me to leave that one tree."

Husband throws TV at wife, she uses kitchen knife to defend herself

A woman and her daughter woke Sunday morning to the sounds of their home being burglarized, according to reports from the Covington Police Department. At roughly 9:50 p.m., one of the women was in her bedroom when she heard a chime sounding downstairs but ignored it, assuming it was her brother coming home. Shortly thereafter, movements were heard in the basement of the home followed by a bang. It was then that the women realized they were being burglarized, according to reports.
