A Covington man was arrested on drug charges Friday after authorities allegedly found him passed out in his car with a gun in his lap at a Honey Creek gas station.

Accident on I-20 west in Conyers blocks lanes, backs up traffic

IN BRIEF: A crash on Interstate 20 westbound, just after the West Avenue exit, or exit 80, in Rockdale County has at least three lanes blocked off. Traffic is backed up at least to Ga. Highway 138. Airport to remain closed for most of Jan.

Because of the unusually cold weather, the opening of the Covington Municipal Airport has once again been pushed back. The airport was scheduled to be open by today, but Horton said the airport won't be open until Jan. 22 at the earliest.
