NCSO joins DEA to "Take-Back" prescription drugs on Sept. 25

On Saturday September 25, from 10:00 a.m. Until 2:00 p.m. the Newton County Sheriff's Office will be hosting one of 2,700 national sites for the Drug Enforcement Administration's prescription drug "Take-Back" campaign. The NCSO will be holding the event inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Industrial Blvd. NCSO personnel will have a drop-off station set up and clearly marked for citizens to locate and discard unwanted prescription drugs. Eastside seeks fast start tonight in new region

This time last year, Eastside High School football was surrounded by question marks. Were the Eagles a one-hit wonder? Was their 2008 success all about Justin Wray and the six other players who went off to play college football? Was Git Aiken a soft running back?
After a 1-2 start, the Eagles answered those questions by going undefeated in Region 8-AAA play and making it all the way to the Class AAA semifinals. Entering tonight's game with Locust Grove though, some of those questions have reemerged.
