The sisterhood has come to town

Three friends of Newton County hosted the grand opening of their brand new gift shop April 1, the Ya-Ya Sisters N More. The three friends are Faith Ford, Rita Johnston and Gail Caruth.The business was inspired by Ford, a local entrepreneur who has owned a business in Covington before.

Mellow on the Yellow to returns

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., for a series of Saturdays (May 17, June 14, July 12, and August 16), the Mellow on the Yellow summer paddling series will be returning to Porterdale at the Yellow River. The length of the paddling is approximately seven miles.
