Welcome Inn being demolished

The Welcome Inn will soon be a memory. The building frequently seen on television in the late 80's on the NBC television hit series "in the heat of the night." Tadio Robinson with Enviro Masters told me he and his crew were there to remove hazardous materials including asbestos before the wrecking ball could do the rest. The complete destruction of the building should occur within the next week.

Vampires take a bite out of The News

"The Vampire Diaries" filmed an episode for its fifth season, including a scene of two cast members walking through a farmer's market - real life Ramsey's Produce. Fans from all over watched the filming around the Covington square Wednesday through early Friday morning.

Meet Nick McWilliams, a 20-year-old guy who loves the car wash so much that he works at one. McWilliams, has been working at Four Seasons Auto Wash Express here in Covington for nearly three years, in which time he has endured rain, sleet, snow and 104 degree weather just to make sure your car is as clean as it can be.
