The Alcovy Tigers defeated the visiting Mustangs of Morrow high, 30-13 at Homer Sharp Stadium Thursday night.
Alcovy slipped from atop the Region 2-AAAAAA standings Monday as it was shutout by Luella 2-0 on its home field. Both teams were unbeaten in region play heading in, and Luella (10-9-1, 4-0) picked up its fourth straight win, while snapping a three game streak for the Tigers (20-4-1, 4-1). Alcovy had won 11 of 12 coming in, but couldn't get its bats going against the Lions.
