Prom night is often full of memories that will last forever. One of the most important aspects for a girl is what dress she will be wearing the night of the event. Afterwards, a dress that was worn for only one night is often put in the back of the closet waiting for another occasion to be used that will never come.

Local youth to compete in Hoop Shoot contest today

The annual countywide Hoop Shoot contest will be taking place today at Sharp gymnasium (YMCA) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Three different age groups from 11 different elementary schools will be represented. The age groups range from 8- to 13-year-old boys and girls.

"Mission 4" delivers

"Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol" starring Tom Cruise as spy Ethan Hunt is the fourth installment to the movie series based on the television series that ran from 1966 to 1977. Directed by Brad Bird, who also directed "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille," the movie was released Dec. 16 and was number one at the box office for four weeks, just recently losing to "The Devil Inside."

Allen KenKnight has a collection like no other. Ever since his dad took him on his first Disney trip when he was 8-years-old, Allen has been collecting Disney memorabilia by the numbers. He has different rooms in his home decorated top to bottom with all things Disney, along with his mortgage office in Loganville. In his home there is a Winnie the Pooh, "Cars" and a Mickey Mouse room.
