Pet of the week - Sept. 18

Take me home: The Newton County Animal Shelter’s pet of the week is a black with gray Dachshund mix, 7 years old, wearing a faded red collar, a really neat dog. Also available for adoption is a rat terrier, white and black; a house-trained terrier mix, brown; a black and brindle Dachshund/Manchester mix; a 3-month-old hound mix; an adult terrier mix; a Lab/Bassett mix, 7 months old; a Lab mix, 7 months old; an Aussie mix, adult, black with red collar; an old Lab, yellow; a poodle mix, adult, red collar; a border collie mix, adult, black and white; an adult mixed breed, black and white; a black shepherd mix; a beagle, 1.5 years old, named Shiloh; and several other mixed breeds. We also have nice cats and kittens for adoption.
