Take a walk through history

The Historic Preservation Society of Social Circle, Inc. will hold its annual Fall Tour of Homes on Saturday, September 19 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

This year’s Tour of Homes will feature eight historic properties with architectural character from the 1800s and early 1900s. A bonus for this year’s tour will be the new City Hall, the historic Hester House build in 1840. Each home will offer the opportunity to visit a beautifully restored home and experience the unique history of each one’s origin.

Plan to spend the day in "Georgia’s Greatest Little Town". We offer quaint restaurants and specialty shops in our Historic Downtown District. Proceeds from this year’s tour will go toward the continuing restoration of Gunter Hall, the headquarters of The Historic Preservation Society of Social Circle, Inc.

Tickets will cost $16 in advance, and $18 on the day of the event. Group rates for 10 or more people cost $15 per person. Tickets can be ordered through P.O. Box 832 Social Circle GA. 30025. Please include a self-addressed envelope. Tickets can be picked up or purchased at Gunter Hall on the day of the tour.
