Take me home: The Newton County Animal Shelter’s pet of the week is an adult Corgie, tan and white. The shelter also has a terrier mix, brown, house trained; a 7-month-old Dachshund/Manchester mix; a yellow and white retriever mix, 10 weeks old; an adult jack Russell; two 4-month-old Jack Russell puppies; a black and white lab mix; three 10-week-old black Lab mix puppies; a walker hound; a boxer mix; a chocolate Lab mix; two miniature collie mix puppies, 7 months old; a 3-year-old beagle; a 5-month-old beagle mix, very friendly; a black Lab mix; an adult hound mix; an fox hound mix; a Dachshund; a Bassett, adult, blue collar; a 1-year-old shepherd mix; a 1-year-old shepherd/husky mix; an adult pointer; an English setter; and other mixed breed dogs. The shelter has nice cats and kittens for adoption.
