Pet of the Week - July 8

The Newton County Animal Shelter’s pet of the week is a red tick hound puppy, 2-3 months old. The shelter has two of them. Also available for adoption are an adult Chihuahua, white and chocolate; a 2-year-old Chihuahua, black and tan; a tri-colored beagle, male, neutered; a young rat terrier, tri-colored; a black and tan Aussie mix; two Lab mix puppies, tri-colored; an adult brown Lab mix; a beagle mix; a hound/boxer mix, adult; a 5-month-old boxer/Lab mix (there are two of them); a black Lab mix, adult; a 1-year-old brown boxer mix, good on a leash; a black and white husky mix named Princess; a 2-year-old black chow mix; a 4-month-old white retriever mix; a 2-year-old husky mix; a Belgian shepherd, adult, black and tan; a Lab mix, black, adult; and several other mixed breeds. Cats and kittens are available for adoption.
