Angela Dames–Johnson releases “What’s Gerald Done Now?: Supermarket Fun”

PublishAmerica is proud to present “What’s Gerald Done Now?: Supermarket Fun” by Angela Dames-Johnson of Covington.
Grocery shopping is a necessary routine in life. Most people make at least one weekly visit to a supermarket to replenish food and items needed for the home. This simple task became an opportunity for adventure in the life of a boy named Gerald.

Grocery shopping gets a kick in the pants when Gerald accompanies Mama on her weekly errand. A close family friend is left speechless and hairless when Gerald goes shopping in “What’s Gerald Done Now?: Supermarket Fun.”

PublishAmerica is the home of 35,000 talented authors.  PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers.

Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties and makes its books available in both the United States and Europe. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.

From the author

These stories are all we have left of that little spitfire nephew of mine. At the tender age of 13 he departed this life.

When Gerald turned five he was hospitalized to have an umbilical hernia repaired. Through routine testing it was discovered that he had a bladder infection. Further testing revealed some kidney failure.  This literally energetic, robust, never-been-sick a day in his life little boy, had a condition. This condition worsened over the years, leading to removal of one kidney, dialysis and an early demise.

These stories are written as a memorial to Gerald and the years of joy and pain, laughter and tears he gave his family and friends.  Those were a long 13 years ... for him they were a lifetime.
