Amaya McMullen, daughter of Nikia Thompson and Lajuane McMullen of Covington, celebrated her first birthday May 3. She is the granddaughter of Tonya Thompson and Hannibal and Gwendolyn McMullen, all of Covington, and the great-granddaughter of Bernice and James Thomas, Hannibal McMullen and Leslie Thompson, all of Covington.
