Puppy Eyes: The Newton County Animal Shelter’s pet of the week is a young adult brown and white dog, very sweet. Also available for adoption are a Beagle/Bassett mix, 3 months old, white and tan; a Shar-pei/Dane mix, 3 months old, gray and merle, very pretty; a collie mix, 5-6-weeks-old, red and white; a Beagle, 1-year-old, blonde and white; a Lab mix, 10-12 months old, black wearing a red harness; and a Dachshund mix, 1-2 years old, black.
