Hulon H. Kitchens

Mr. Hulon H. Kitchens, 87, of Conyers, died Jan. 21. He was born in Newton County in 1921. Mr. Kitchens proudly saved our country in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. Mr. Kitchens was a member of Newton Baptist Church. He enjoyed bird hunting and loved his family. Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by parents Andrew and Minnie (Parker) Kitchens and wife Fairy Cowan Kitchens. He is survived by his church family and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Jan. 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Newton Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Parham officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Friends may sign the on-line registry at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
