The Newton County pet of the week is a 3-4-year-old white Spitz. Also available for adoption are a 2-year-old white poodle; an adult Jack Russell; an adult poodle mix; a friendly black Lab wearing an reddish-orange collar; a 1-year-old mixed breed, brindle in color; a black and white Lab mix; a miniature Pincher/terrier mix; a 2-3-year-old, bobbed-tail, reddish mixed breed; a beagle mix; a poodle mix, grey and black; a Jack Russell mix; a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, named Bailey; a 2-year-old Husky; a 9-month-old Lab mix; a chocolate Lab mix with green collar; and a 5-year-old cocker Spaniel. The shelter also had cats and kittens for adoption.
