                                                                                  Obituary
     Mrs. Elizabeth "Meat" Hurst Reed, was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Ernest "Jelly Fat" (Lucille Thrasher) Hurst on May 20, 1940. Elizabeth was born in Covington, Georgia, where she also grew up and attended school. In 1955, she married Mr. Curtis Reed.

      Elizabeth was a longtime faithful member of Richards Chapel United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir faithfully until her health started to fail. She was employed over the years by the Newton and Rockdale School Systems where she loved being surrounded by children. She loved flowers and worked  outside in her yard constantly. She also loved cooking and playing softball over the years. She was a master at the 1st base position.

    She was preceded in death by two children, Mr. Curtis Reed, Jr. and Mr. Darrell Reed, four siblings, Mrs.  Cora Delamar, Mrs. Mozelle Cole, Mr. John Eward Hurst and Mr. Ernest Hurst, Jr.

     She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving husband, Mr. Curtis Lee Reed, two children, Mr. & Mrs. Morris (Connie) Reed and Minister Tammy Russell, two sisters, Mrs. Louise Martin and Mrs. Helen Hall,  seven grandchildren, Valente' Hill, Bricola Reed, Miche'lle' Hill, DeMorris Reed, Maurice Williams, Tamara Russell and Moriah Reed, one great-grandchild, Tahje Heard, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Alene Hurst, one brother-in-law, Mr. Fred Delamar, a host of other relatives and friends.
