Kennesaw State lifts lockdown

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — A lockdown at Kennesaw State University in Georgia has been lifted after reports of a possibly armed man on campus.

University spokesman David Arnold says no one has been detained and the campus has been cleared Friday afternoon.

University spokeswoman Tammy DeMel says in an email that officials received a call about a suspicious man on campus with a possible weapon.

Live video from the WSB-TV helicopter showed multiple police walking around campus and barricades blocking some roads.

Located in the fast-growing suburbs north of Atlanta, Kennesaw State is the third-largest public university in the state and has more than 21,000 traditional and non-traditional students.
