Obituary 


      Mrs. Mary Louise (Smith) Rogers was born March 6, 1938 in Barrow County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Sidney (Runniel)  Smith, one son, Ronnie "D" Smith, three brothers, Bobby, Lamar and John Smith, two sisters, Bonnie Kate and Betty Smith, one step-grandson, Tim Reed. She departed this life on November 21, 2013.
     Mary resided in Newton County for most of her life. She enjoyed living in the City of Oxford. Mary loved doing puzzles, watching the Westerns, Law and Order and listening to gospel music. She joined Pleasant Hill A.M.E. Zion Church where she remained a member until her passing.
      She leaves to cherish loving memories, husband, Mr. James Rogers, one daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Danny (Brenda) Reed, of Covington, Georgia, two sons, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Charles (Sarah) Smith, of Conyers, Georgia, Mr. Douglas Alan Smith, of Covington, Georgia, three sisters, Ms. Ruth Smith, Ms. Iretta Smith and Ms. JoAnne Dorsey, all of Oxford, Georgia, two brothers, Mr. Jerry Smith, of Social Circle, Georgia and Mr. Sammy Smith, of Oxford, Georgia, three granddaughters, Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Sonya)  Brown, Mr. & Mrs. Darrick (Andra) Maddox and Ms. Chelsea Smith, all of Covington, Georgia, three grandsons, Mr. Danny Reed, Jr., Mr. Deion Smith, both of Covington, Georgia and Mr. Antonio Knox, of Conyers, Georgia, seven great grandsons, eight great granddaughters, two great-great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ella Smith, of Covington, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
