GSP taking Toys for Tots

The Georgia State Patrol, along with many other organizations throughout the state, will act as Santa’s helpers this holiday season, collecting toys for needy children.

Cpl. Jeremiah Slayton, who is stationed at GSP Post 46 in Monroe, said the GSP is participating in the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive. Collection boxes will be placed at Walmart locations in Rockdale, Newton and Walton counties, Slayton said. Donations should be new, unwrapped toys, and toys received will go to children in the areas in which they are collected.
